Description |
Showcase all of your nursing skills! This position offers you the opportunity to use state-of-the-art technology while delivering compassionate, personalized nursing care.
Duties include:
• Serving as a patient advocate in all situations
• Patient assessments, including physical, emotional, psychosocial, environmental and educational components
• Providing skilled nursing care to patients in their homes
• Identifying patient needs and making timely referrals to other disciplines in collaboration with the physician and care manager
• Supervising home care aides
• Providing comprehensive teaching to patients and their caregivers
• Timely and appropriate documentation of patient’s status |
Requirements |
Home care nursing is both challenging and rewarding! This job requires a person who can work independently, while never forgetting that home health care is a team effort.
Other requirements include:
• Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing (Diploma or Associate Degree)
• Current Alabama registered nurse license
• Comfort in communicating with elderly people who have multiple nursing care needs
• Willingness to work in home environments of patients who may have values or standards different from your own
• Facilitation of positive nurse-physician relationships
• Ability to make evaluations and decisions based on measurable or verifiable criteria
• Ability to turn, lift, carry and otherwise transport patient
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Respecting the patient’s privacy and maintaining confidentiality
• Current Alabama driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
• CPR Certification |

Description |
This position offers you the opportunity to become an important member of the healthcare team. You will make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families.
Duties include:
• Providing in-home personal hygiene and other care to assigned home health and hospice patients based on established care plans
• Documenting the services you provide
• Communicating to the case manager any changes in the patient’s condition or a need for changes in the patient’s care plan |
Requirements |
Your patients will be counting on you! This job requires a person who is reliable, can work independently, and will treat all patients with dignity and respect.
Other requirements include:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Alabama driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
• Current certification for home care aide service
• Willingness to work in home environments of patients who may have values or standards different from your own
• Ability to turn, lift and carry patients when necessary
• Ability to climb stairs and do some heavy lifting
• Ability to both give and receive instructions, on the phone and in person
• Ability to use the tools of a home care aide, which include blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, thermometer, gloves, gowns, aprons, shampoo boards and medical records
• Respecting the patient’s privacy and maintaining confidentiality |
