When people are asked to describe how they would want to spend their last days on this earth, the overwhelming answer is that they want to be cared for in their own home surrounded by the people and things that they love.
It is the mission of Hospice of Marshall County to provide exceptional individualized care for those coping with end-of-life issues. This compassionate, supportive care that makes this journey a positive one for patients and their families is costly.
Hospice care is covered in part by Medicare, Medicaid and some private insurance carriers. Each year Hospice of Marshall County also provides care for patients who are not covered by any medical insurance plan. The cost of providing this un-reimbursed care is rising each year. As a non-profit agency, Hospice of Marshall County has never turned any one away that qualified for hospice services based on their inability to pay, but to continue to meet the needs of the community, we need your help.
